How to play Solitaire

The goal is to build all four foundations up from Ace to King, one for each suit. The seven columns in the middle (the tableau) are built downward in alternating colors — a red six goes on a black seven, and so on. Click a face-up card to pick it up (it grabs the run beneath it too), then click a column or foundation to drop it. Double-click a card to send it straight to a foundation. Click the deck (top-left) to turn over new cards, and when it's empty, click again to recycle. Only a King can move into an empty column. Clear every card to the foundations to win.

About the game

Klondike is the solitaire card game most people simply call "Solitaire" — it became a fixture on home computers in the 1990s and has been quietly consuming coffee breaks ever since. Part skill and part luck of the shuffle, it's the perfect one-player game: no opponent, no clock, just you and the cards.
